May 6 - Fondi. We hadn't gone more than a few steps when we were hailed, in English, with "Hey, where are you from?" That was our introduction to Signor Sergio Luciano (on the right,) who used to live in New York - his son still lives there. He was the first of the incredibly friendly people of Fondi that we were to meet. After we'd chatted for a bit, Philip asked him if there was an inexpensive place for us to stay in town and Sergio said just to follow him.
