May 19 - along the coast between Maratea and Policastro. The coast road - surprise, surprise! - did not run along the beach but along the cliffs next to the beach, so there was a lot more climbing and descending. Philip's attractive eyewear consists of a kind of Pugliese snack - similar to pretzels but a lot tastier.
