May 18 - in the Parco Pollino, on the road from Noepoli to Rotonda. The Parco Pollino is a national park that spans parts of Basilicata and Calabria. We climbed and climbed, into the wind the entire way (except in places like this bridge, where the head wind became a cross wind.) The landscape here in the mountains was, as is evident from this photo, very different from the rolling farmland we'd been riding through until now.
